2 weeks to create, 2 weeks to mix and 2 weeks from the Beatz to the Streetz graduate showcase, Phat Tony & Theo3 released “the 2 week EP” with the goal of raising funds for Toronto youth program Beatz to da Streetz. The result was funds raised for a full graduation dinner. The important program would ultimately come to a permanent end a few years later.

Beatz to da Streetz was a music program initially created for homeless and street involved youth aged 18 to 29 in the Toronto area. The first iteration took place at the Touchstone Youth shelter in East York. 3 streams including Emceeing, Songwriting and Music Production took place every week until the culmination of a live performance at a downtown venue, and a cd with full participant songs on it. Far more than an ordinary program, the participants had a family vibe and the ties last to this day. One love to Gwen, Mario, DJ Cali, Jewelz, Dorril, Marv Mullah, Samantha, Nolan, C Bone, Heat, MQ, Frenchie, Monique, Chocula, Max Miller, Stina, Jules, Masta Myst, Jamal and many more.

All proceeds from the sale of this record will go towards the Unification Bursary.
